I'm happy to bring to you the prettiest little headband pattern today!
It's The Slopes Headband, and it is just so lovely-- with it's texture-y goodness... oh, and buttons. Can't forget about the buttons! They always make things cute.
I thought I'd share today on the blog my favorite way of weaving in ends for my crochet projects. I've used this method since forever, and it's proven to be a fail-proof way of getting those ends hidden, even after multiple washes and wears!
I'm excited to bring this fun hat pattern to the blog today. It's a super comfy slouch hat that features this really unique stitch that includes a tr3tog with a puff stitch around it. I'm not lyin' when I say that this thing is fun to whip up, and the look of this textured stitch is just so good!
I thought it would make a cool little post here on Megmade to feature some amazing companies that are rooted here in U.S. soil. I've been interested, here lately, in becoming more knowledgable about the whereabouts of the things I buy (for multiple reasons). And I believe buying as close to home as possible is almost always for the best. It's an area I'm improving on right now, and I'm nowhere near the perfect shopper, but I thought a cool place to start would be to research some brands that make yarn in America.
I'm excited to share these Varsity Love socks with you over here on the blog! They have a special place in my heart, as they were one of my very first patterns I released over in my Etsy shop. They're classic and cool.. and keep your toes all toasty n' stuff ;)
Ever since this summer, I've really been utilizing the little monthly and weekly printables I created for organizing life/business stuff. In fact, I didn't realize how much of a difference they made in my work efficiency until I stopped using them around Thanksgiving and this whole month of December, really.
I noticed a couple of things...
1) I wasn't getting as much stuff done
2) My stress increased because I wasn't getting as much stuff done, and when I wanted to get said stuff done, I didn't have a clear direction to go so I ended up distracted or discouraged.
3) I found myself falling more frequently into the category of "reaction to circumstances" than "actively managing"
I've got a jam-packed post for you today showing you how I made some pretty rad stitch markers! These cuties are incredibly easy to whip up, cost very little (you may have some of the materials already!), and may end up being the coolest stitch markers you'll ever own. ;)
Hey there, sassy pants. Have I got a gift tag download for you!
This little tag is the perfect topper to those projects that you put tons of time and love into. It's funny, cute, and goes great on those Christmas gifts you've been bustin' your butt to make.
To conclude the photography series, today I'm talking about editing! I think this may be my favorite part of the photography process.. I really love bringing a new "life" to photos by post-processing (or editing). This post is jam-packed with info and tips on tweaking your photos after you shoot them (including phone pics!).
