Ten Awesome Warm-Weather Yarns You've Gotta Check Out

Warm Weather Yarns

With Spring upon us (even though it really doesn't feel like it sometimes...), and Summer just around the corner, I thought it'd be neat to gather up some of my top picks for warmer weather yarns. I will admit, before I started a Megmade with Love, I gave up crocheting during the warm months... because it just did not seem appealing to me to whip up a beanie when it's 90 degrees outside. But oh, how little did I know about the amazingness of warm weather crochet!! I can honestly say I 100% PREFER crocheting in the warmer months, because of the diversity of projects you can make.

Working with fiber during the hotter months doesn't have to be a drag, because there are SO many great options out there. And I've got some really cool options down below I think you're really going to fancy. :)

(To visit the webpage for each yarn, just click the image and it'll take you there!)

T-shirt yarn to me is the neatest thing. And oh, the amazing things you could make with it! This brand has such great color and pattern options in this t shirt yarn, I totally recommend giving them a look.

This "Lindy Chain" yarn from KnitPicks has been on my radar for awhile. Mostly because of the uniqueness of it... it looks so light and airy, with such great texture.

This 100% linen "Kestrel" yarn from Quince & Co is similar to the yarn just above it, and I've been eyeing it as well! The colors look so dreamy.. Be sure to check out all this brand's yarns.. they are kind of amazing.

I had to feature this fave of mine. Hobby Lobby's "I Love This Cotton! Yarn".. it's such a great price, especially if you catch it on sale. And the softness, people!!! It is my go-to cotton yarn.

I believe this "Comfy Cotton Blend" yarn is a new one for Lion Brand--and I am a fan! I haven't worked with it, but the colors they offer... wow! I love the one above, named "Chai Latte". It looks so yummy.

Another KnitPicks choice of mine, is the Comfy Cotton line they offer. It's a pima cotton/acrylic blend and comes in multiple weights. They offer such great color options and the price is great!

I had to include a bamboo option in this lineup... this one looks so squishy and I'm loving this rust-y color. Fun fact-- I have actually NEVER worked with bamboo (gasp!!). Perhaps I'll have to try it out this summer...

This new raffia yarn by Wool and the Gang is so cool! If you've followed along here on Megmade, you know I LOVE the rustic look-- and this "yarn" fits the bill. It's eco-friendly, PLUS they offer lots of cool kits with this stuff. Totally worth checking out.

This yarn was so beautiful, I just couldn't leave it out. It's a cotton and linen blend yarn that has such amazing texture. And the colors they offer.... mannnn! It's so pretty...

Last on this list, is the fun Cotton Cakes by Yarnspirations. Talk about great color combos... Plus it looks like it would have amazing stitch definition.

I hope this list was a yummy to you as it was for me!! Warm weather crocheting (or knitting!) doesn't have to be "blegh"... there's so much potential for this season, and I hope you embrace it with awesome yarns in hand!!

Until next time,
Meg
