For me, I can think of multiple reasons why the things I'm working on get abandoned, from realizing the project isn't going to be what I thought in my head to the fact that it's taking too long and isn't season-appropriate. Probably the biggest reason, though, is taking on a big project and not knowing how to manage it in small chunks, then getting overwhelmed and worn out on the mere thought of even doing it!
